This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal information when you visit wolfersports.com, create an account, sign in with Google, place an order, contact us, subscribe to marketing communications or otherwise interact with our website and services.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable data-protection or consumer law, including the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the EU GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who Is Responsible for Your Data

Our retail operations and dispatches are managed by two different companies, depending on where your order is delivered: 5aab Sports Limited for the UK and Europe, and Wolfer Sports ERetail Pvt Ltd for India and the rest of the world.

Wolfer Sports ERetail Pvt Ltd runs this website and is responsible for your personal information (the "data controller").

5aab Sports Limited uses your order details to dispatch and invoice UK and European orders, and keeps the order and tax records UK law requires. 5aab Sports Limited is also our representative in the UK for data protection matters.

Information we collect

What We Collect

  • Personal and contact details: Your name, billing address, delivery address, email address, telephone number and other contact information you provide.
  • Account details: Your login email, an encrypted password (if you register with a password), your saved addresses, wishlist, stock and price alerts, and order history.
  • Google sign-in details: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. See "Signing In with Google" below.
  • Order and transaction details: Products ordered, order number, order value, taxes, payment status, delivery details, return or refund requests and communications about your order.
  • Payment information: Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store complete card or bank-payment details on our own systems.
  • Customer-support information: Information you provide when you contact us by email, through our contact form, on WhatsApp or through other support channels.
  • Website and device information: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, session activity and interaction data, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketing preferences: Whether you have agreed to receive email, SMS, WhatsApp or other promotional communications from Wolfer Sports.
Google sign-in

Signing In with Google

You can create a Wolfer account or log in with your Google account ("Sign in with Google"). This is optional. You can always register with your email address and a password instead.

What we receive from Google

Only after you give permission on Google's screen, Google shares the following with us:

  • Your name.
  • Your email address.
  • Your profile picture, if you have one.
  • A unique Google account ID, which lets us recognise you the next time you log in.

We do not receive your Google password. We do not get access to your Gmail, contacts, Google Drive, calendar or any other Google data.

How we use it

  • To create your Wolfer account and log you in.
  • To pre-fill your name and email address at checkout.
  • To send you messages about your account and orders, such as order confirmations, dispatch updates, and knocking-in and care guides.

Signing in with Google does not subscribe you to marketing emails. We only send newsletters and offers if you separately choose to receive them.

Sharing and Limited Use

We do not sell, rent or trade information received from Google. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We share it only with the service providers who help run our store (such as website hosting and email delivery), and only as far as they need it to provide their service.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

You can remove Wolfer's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections. To also delete your Wolfer account and the information we received from Google, see "Deleting Your Account" below.

How we use data

  • To process payments, fulfil orders, arrange delivery and provide customer support (performance of a contract).
  • To communicate with you about your order, dispatch, tracking, returns, exchanges, refunds or replacements (performance of a contract).

  • To verify transactions and help prevent fraud, misuse or unauthorised activity (legitimate interests).
  • To improve our website, products, customer experience and performance (legitimate interests).
  • To send product updates, offers and promotional communications (your consent).

  • To issue invoices and meet legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations (legal obligation).

We process personal information only where we have a lawful basis, as shown above. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

  • Shipping, courier, logistics and fulfilment partners.
  • Website hosting, ecommerce, security, analytics and technical-service providers.
  • Email, SMS, WhatsApp and customer-support providers, including Brevo for our emails and newsletters.
  • Advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, only where you have accepted marketing cookies.
  • Between 5aab Sports Limited and Wolfer Sports ERetail Pvt Ltd, where needed to fulfil or support your order.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, banks, auditors or authorities, where required by law or necessary to protect our rights.
International data

International Transfers

We serve customers worldwide, and our companies are in the United Kingdom and India. As a result, your personal information may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the UK, India, the European Union and the United States.

When we transfer personal information from the UK or EU to a country without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or rely on the service provider's own approved safeguards.

Security & retention

How We Protect & Retain Data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls and reputable service providers.

No online system is completely secure. We take reasonable precautions, but we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information sent to or stored through our website.

  • Account information: Kept while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
  • Order, invoice and tax records: Kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. In the UK this is generally six years. In India it is at least 72 months from the due date of the relevant annual GST return.
  • Marketing data: Kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that, we keep only a record of your opt-out, so that we do not contact you again.
  • Support messages: Kept for as long as needed to resolve your query and any related claim.
Your choices

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Delete your personal information, in certain circumstances.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
  • Receive a copy of certain personal information in a portable format.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated (India).
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails, using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us.

Deleting Your Account

To delete your Wolfer account, including any information received through Google sign-in, email care@wolfersports.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line "Privacy Request: Delete my account". We will delete it within 30 days. We will keep only the order records that the law requires us to retain.

To make any privacy request, email care@wolfersports.com with the subject line "Privacy Request", or use our Contact Us page. We may ask for information to confirm your identity. We aim to respond within one month.

Marketing

Marketing Communications

We send news, product launches, offers and other promotional communications only if you opt in. For example, you might opt in by ticking the marketing box when you sign up or check out, or by joining our newsletter. Our marketing emails are sent through Brevo.

You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting care@wolfersports.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop important service messages, such as order confirmations, dispatch updates and care guides for products you have bought.

Children & updates

Children's Privacy & Policy Updates

Accounts and purchases are intended for adults aged 18 or over. Younger players are welcome to use our products, but a parent or guardian should create the account and place the order. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal or regulatory changes. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will let account holders know by email.
